Catherine was raised in Seaford, Long Island, New York. She was the 3rd youngest of 9 children in a wonderful close knit family. After attending Seaford High School, Catherine started working for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York in 1972 and at the same time attended college having attained her Bachelor of Science in Management & Communications from Adelphi University in Garden City. Catherine continued to work for the Bank with increasing responsibilities in administration and financial analysis positions ultimately achieving the rank of Staff Director before leaving the Bank in 1999. Truly a wonderful 26 year career with an outstanding institution. Catherine, who is always looking for ways to make life interesting, then worked for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals in Pearl River for five years and then for Columbia University as an Officer of Administration at Columbia’s Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory for six years. Catherine married the love of her life, Raleigh M. Tozer, in June 1999 and lives in Tappan, New York. Catherine enjoys most of all spending time with family and dear friends, a good power walk a few times a week, and gardening.
